Great sites for large trailers and RVs. Nice wooded sites for privacy. Not side by side sites as some campgrounds. The place is huge with two indoor pools and one hot tub. Internet is OK, but is not free. Nice amount of activities and good store.
Third, it gets worse, the only 1st place winners of the child and adult costume contest WERE THE MAIN PEOPLE WORKING IN THE HAUNTED HOUSE! Conflict of interest much? How can you have workers participate in the competition and win a free weekend. Very basied and not fair whatsoever.
Secondly, aside from the staff being terrible. All along the campsites during trick or treating were political, racial, religious signs that stated things like “if you don’t stand or believe in god or don’t celebrate Christmas then leave”. It made my family and I feel very uncomfortable even though we do celebrate all of those things but the other half of our family is Jewish. It was inappropriate to have excluding signs as such, on such a “family friendly camp ground.”
Love this place! We go every year for our family reunion.. It's great to have a place that can entertain the 100 or so of us in all age ranges!
Absolutely terrible experience. My family and I had just left yesterday from what we thought would be a great weekend. We have been coming here for all of our lives and all of our children’s lives and their in their 20’s now. The staff was very unorganized and rude. The guy running the ice cream stand in the office was rude and told our little cousins that he didn’t know what the flavors were and some were too hard for him to scoop so he made them pick other flavors that also didn’t have flavor labels even though he works there and you would think if the ice cream flavors aren’t labeled he would know what each is!!
Last, after the contest, there was appose to be a “DJ Dance” which we know all too well with family coming here since they opened. We remember how fun it was and very entertaining and family friendly. They played one song, then stopped the music. The lady got on the mic and started talking about America and how if you are proud to be an American then stand up tall and form a circle in the middle of the dance floor as we sing and play “proud to be an American.” Now dont get me wrong, my family is all American and very proud to be one. But now THIS, was uncalled for. Half of the parents were going to just sit and watch their kids dance and watch the contest. It made you feel like if you didn’t stand and make your way to the dance floor then you will be judged and it will make you look like you aren’t proud to be an American. My whole family just left at this point. We felt it was brought us due to the NFL players kneeling and honoring our president Trump, and other political subjects that aren’t appropriate for a family friendly campsite that we have been going to twice a year since birth. We won’t be returning. For the first time in I don’t know how many years.
Nice campground. Some other campers were pretty wild and lots of unsupervised children using vulgarities in the pool made it less than family friendly. Our site area was quiet, but we could hear people partying across the park well past quiet hours.
Awesome campground. Great place for families. Large sites that are very clean. Only downside was the chickens and roosters that run wild from the neighbors and the rooster crows early in the morning.
